Deb said she achieved the effects by working the beads this way:
"After I have finished shaping the bead, I use a heavy reduction flame working the bead just beyond the tip of the yellow candles, checking frequently until I obtain the desired results, before putting it into the kiln.
Results can be variable, dependant on how much black is left exposed to show the effect & how long the bead is worked in the reduction flame."

Thanks for the info... and I agree, awesome beads Deb. =)
The beads in this post (ask-silver-rattan-vetrofond-black) are killer. They are exactly the kind of bead I'd kill to work with. I love your sense of design. Sigh... now... off to make money so I can buy beads!
What's funny is, I have been getting a fuming sometimes with my vetrofond black, not using any silver even near it. Do we have an odd odd that has some silver in it?!?!?! : )
Thanks for sharing these with us. I sure enjoyed reading your blog.
